Depends on teeth: The length of time for orthodontic treatment will depend on your teeth and how much movement is needed. Most orthodontists in my area will do a consult at no charge where they can answer your questions. There is a large range of treatment times so talk to an orthodontist about this.

Treatment Length: How long you will wear your braces depends upon the difficulty of your case (determined by your doctor), and the degree of cooperation that you bring to your treatment in terms of how you care for your braces (cleanliness, avoiding breakage, following diet restrictions, and adhering to your appointment schedules).

Average time: According to AAO, average time in Rx for growing Tweens/Teens is about 18 months. Adults take a little longer. Know, however that no two people/malocclusions are alike. Rx can take 6 to 36 months. See a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for an answer to your particular problem set.
