Dislocated disk: You probably have an anteriorly displaced disk within your temporomandibular joint (tmj). This can cause popping when it returns to it's proper position or if it doesn't return to the proper position may need treatment with a bite splint or even surgery. You should see a dentist who is familiar with this problem or an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
