It isn't the rain!: Dr joseph hollander in the fifties demonstrated is is the fall in barometric pressure which precedes rainfall (may continue when rain starts), that causes increased pain. Therefore the adage that with arthritis you can predict the rain is true. Technically, seattle and buffalo are bad spots, while phoenix is "hot.".
