Depends: As with any surgery, complications can happen and may have a negative effect. A failed hip replacement would likely affect women and men similarly in terms of daily activities, walking, etc. However, in most cases, failed hip replacements can be revised and treated so that ultimately, the patient is functional and pain free. Good luck!
