UNKNOWN CAUSE: It doesn't seem all that likely that a nerve in the neck is the source of dizziness. Getting up suddenly can do it ordinarily. But you haven't described the dizziness well enough to zero in on it. See your dr and get a diagnosis. Then you'll be in a position to fix the problem.
