Long time: Treatment of avn of the talar dome can be very challenging both for you and your doctor. Reconstitution (new bone formation) under the talar dome can take 24-36 months. If the dome collapses then treatment options are limited. If you have questions don't hesitate to discuss your prognosis with your doctor. Good luck.
