No guarantees: Tb can be hard to diagnose. Although there are changes on chest radiograph that can suggest active or prior TB infection, many times the radiograph can appear normal or nonspecific. The chest radiograph of a person exposed to a person with TB is most often normal. If the person has symptoms of tb, the radiograph is more likely to be abnormal, but don' treat the radiograph, treat the person.
