Quit smoking 12/9/12, 23 pack years.occasionally still bring up brown speckled phlegm.most times it is clear. chest xray normal.mild emphysema.normal?

Not really: It is surprising that you have emphysema with your limited smoking history. You might have a genetic predisposition to have lung problems, or you might actually have asthma.
