Alcoholic Brain: I am in now ay implying any judgement. But, our brain gets to a point when we drink that any reason to drink seems fine. Even drinking alone. Many people who drink do so to overcome their social fears and nervousness. Alcohol, as a drug, however, makes depression and anxiety worse. We may feel relaxed but our brain is getting worse when we drink. I would ask you to go 30 days without a drink.

Check w/your doctor: You may need a psychological or psychiatric evaluation, counseling or even medication -- alcohol is not a safe or effective way to treat any medical or psychologic disorder.
