Complex question: It is rather a complex question that you just ask. Traditionally, we advise our patients not to introduce some major highly allergenic foods into an infant diet until he or she reach 2 years old. Those are cow milk, egg, soy, wheat, seafood/shellfish, peanut/tree nuts. Only if eczema is uncontrolled, then food allergy is needed to be evaluated and a trial of taking off that food may warrant.
