It has been 5 weeks after my tonsillectomy and today i have found my uvula is touching my tongue making me also feel like i have a flue but i dont. i have also started to get excessive saliva in my mouth. my throat was fine a week ago?

If your throat was fine last week and you had had tonsillectomy 5 weeks ago then your uvula is not injured from the procedure. Unfortunately, you may have a case of acute uvulitis and excessive saliva is one of the symptoms. Eating ice chips may reduce the swelling. This condition is often self-limited and symptoms should improve within 48 hours. See your doctor if symptoms get worse. Take care.
