Lexapro (escitalopram): Lexapro (escitalopram) is a medication for Depression. Usual Starting Dose is 10mg/day. Some patients can have side effects at this dose, therefore it can be decreased to 7.5mg/day. Discuss with Psychiatrist severity of symptoms, effect of symptoms on functioning, dose of lexapro (escitalopram) needed, side effects noticed; and plan to break into smaller pieces. Less than7.5mg/day is not helpful. Do Breathing Relaxation,

Lexapro (escitalopram) dosage: Doses can start as low as 2.5 mg in children and increase as tolerated. Adult dose range usually is 10-20 mg. Yes, you can break pills to get different doses. Check with prescribing doctor. If you are known to be sensitive to medications, tell details to your doctor. I hope this helps.
