Will i get any medicine for pain when i go for the infusion?

Not often: An infusion is the administration of medication via an intravenous line. The access to the body is via a needle stick into a vein. In most cases this is done directly with no pain medication although some will inject a small dose of numbing medication (usually lidocaine) into the area of skin where the infusion needle will be stuck.
