General practitioner has diag. large tonsil stone have had for over a year doesn't cause problems, should it be removed?

Your choice: You may be more comfortable if the thing is removed, which may often be done with a pair of forceps under good lighting, perhaps even at home, or by gargling with salt water. Only the enormous ones require surgery. These things eventually invite an annoying surface infection.
