Depends on cause: First thing is to understand what is causing the hallucinations. If they are visual hallucinations and you have no history of hallucinations in past, then a toxic or metabolic cause must be considered. If there is prior history of schizophrenia, then antipsychotic medications can be quite effective. See your doctor for an evaluation to find out.
