How often can a pregnant woman have a glass of wine?

Never: Alcohol in pregnancy is incompatible with a developing fetus and abstinence is recommended.

Best to avoid: While pregnant, it is generally recommended and best to avoid all alcoholic beverages. There will be time enough when you deliver and are no longer breast feeding to enjoy a nice glass of wine. Best wishes and congratulations.
