If you think, yes: There are so many herbal medicines , if you believe will help you , take by all means, but do not discontinue proven traditional medicine, consider guava leaves as extra layer of help . Inform your doctor and take advise , neglect of u c may lead to dangerous complications.

Possibly: There's a phytodrug (qg-5) derived from guava leaves, and standardized to its quercetin content. In 1 study it showed some benefit: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/12413703 maximum safe dose of quercetin is reported to be 1 gram/day. If you want to use this, find a reputable, standardized brand -- and work with your regular physicians. Please don't add this without talking with them.
