Osteoarthritis: More than likely, the cause is osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease. It is not impossible that you may have rheumatoid arthritis but tests performed by your family dr. Can delineate this. Nsaids and tylenol (acetaminophen) are drugs to treat this condtion. Some patients try glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate as well. Good luck.
