Rare in 23 year olds: Probably carpal tunnel syndrome which is is associated with pain to pressure or with wrist bending.

Not arthritis: If you have never had an injury to that hand, then at your age, its not arthritis. If you had an old injury, it could be post-traumatic arthritis, but you are still too young to expect that. If you have any recent trauma, may need an xray. If you notice any sensation changes or numb feeling along with the pain, it could be carpal tunnel syndrome.
