A member asked:

Sometimes my period is irregular but i've had it for over a year. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: If i understand correctly, you first began having menstrual periods more than a year ago. If that is the correct situation, then sometimes it can take over a year for the menstrual periods to 'normalize'. Occasional irregularity is not technically 'normal', but doesn't sound like anything worrisome. If you have pain, or heavy periods then i would recommend a visit to your doctor.
