Sleep paralysis: Your symptoms appear to resemble sleep paralysis. This could be seen in narcolepsy a for of a sleep disorder. Check with a sleep specialist. Other symptoms associated are cataplexy (dropping on the floor with leg weakness when surprised or startled, sleep attacks, hypnagogic (near sleep time) hallucinations, and daytime sleepiness. Usually worse with stress and alcohol use.
