Discuss with dentist: This is a subject that you should discuss directly with your own prescribing and treating dentist. He\she knows your complete medical and dental history, you, what procedures are planned and what is best for you. Everyone is different, has different needs, and reacts differently to the same medication.

Xanax (alprazolam) use: Treatment for patients with anxiety should begin with a dose of 0.25 to 0.5 mg given three times daily. The dose may be increased to achieve a maximum therapeutic effect, at intervals of 3 to 4 days, to a maximum daily dose of 4 mg, given in divided doses. So going from 1mg to 2mg in single dose attacks may not have anymore significant a result than the 1mg did. Repeated doses therefore should.
