A member asked:

I have a fibroid measuring 22mm on the back wall of my uterus i am 39 years old and i want to have another baby will this affect my chances?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibroid pregnancy: If the uterine cavity shape is not affected by the fibroid your pregnancy should be unaffected. That can be determine with imaging ordered by your physician. A medication called Lupron (leuprolide) may also be given for a period of 6 months to try and srink the fibroid. Also a robotic or laproscopic surgery to remove the fibroid would be another option. The procedure is called a myomectomy.
