Mood stability: Chantix has been associated with depression, suicidal ideation, and emotional lability in post-marketing studies. This can show up within days of starting the medicine. If already on wellbutrin (bupropion) for depression, these risks could be higher. Advised to use only one of these at a time. You should also know that Chantix is associated with higher risk for cardiovascular events, on its own.
