Embryo implantation: The normal implantation window is 6-10 days after egg retrieval, and the embryo(s) usually implant a couple of days after being transferred into the uterus. It takes about 7 days on average for the HCG hormone to be detected into the urine, and that usually depends on how sensitive the test is. Due to the variable time of implantation and different sensitivity of tests it is best to wait 14 days.
