Technically, yes. : There is a condition called "broken heart syndrome, " where severe stress can cause cardiac arrest. It is quite rare, but it has definitely been described.

Stress: It is possible depending on whether you have underlying medical problems or not. A more commonly recognized temporary decrease in function of the heart (takasubo's) has been related to stress.
