See below: After a c-section there may be some numbness in the midsection due to the irritation or damage of some of the abdominal nerves by the operation. This numbness will slowly improve over time (months). The numbness in the back should resolve more quickly since it is probably due to the anesthesia. If it does not resolve within a week i would talk to your OB surgeon or your anesthesiologist.
