Several Issues: With even healthy pregnancy, the very vascular uterine lining continues to grow, facilitating capillary flow to support growing baby, the zygote erodes into the uterine lining needing blood supply/nutrition+waste removal, rapid placental development not perfect, much of the rapidly forming fine vascular network is fragile & stressed by motion, BP elevations, etc.
