Not widely used.: Etofylline is used in many countries as a bronchodilator, being similar to theophylline. But it isn't used much and the data on it OTHER than saying it's similar to theophylline, is a bit sparse. Can give jitters up to seizures with overdose, useful in asthma (like Theophylline).

Not available in U.S: I am not familiar with this medication, as it is not used in the U.S. Overseas it is used for asthma and bronchitis. I believe it is a bronchodilator, which helps expand the bronchioles in your lungs (which are constricted in asthma attacks/bronchitis). Possible side effects are mostly stomach related: nausea, upset stomach, and as with almost anything there is a possibility of a rash.
