Apnea: Apnea is cessation of breathing when you are sleeping. This is either "central" or "obstructive." central is more of a brainstem issue whie obstructive is due to your airway collapsing. In order to breathe again you need to wake yourself up. This is a big problem when you do this every single hour of sleep every night. Ents, pulmonologists, and neurologists are best equipped to treat this.
