Yes: Tourette syndrome can be diagnosed at anytime before age 18. Tourette syndrome is any combination of verbal and motor tics. The initial vocal tics are usually clearing of the throat, a snorting or sniffing noise, and coughlike noise and therefore these noises miss recognition as tics.
