Nothing much: Thalassemia is a congenital condition. There is not much a patient can do other than being faithful to good medical cares under the direction of hematologist.

Not sure what u mean: Thalassemia is a constitutional deficiency in the production of one of the globin chains. There are many variants that manifest a wide severity of symptoms from none to transfusion dependence. Alpha thal major (lack of Alpha chain synthesis is incompatible with life. People with thalassemia syndromes need to be evaluated by a hematologist.
