No; under anesthesia: Maximal comfort if done under general anesthesia. Can be done under local anesthesia, if so, advise applying Emla (lidocaine and prilocaine) or lmx topical anesthetic cream 1/2 hour before procedure, in area where local anesthetic will be injected. Then some oral analgesics can be prescribed for post-operative pain. Ice pack to scrotum may help for 1st 24 hours. Good luck.
