gynecology: treatment for endometrosis in the intestines?

1 doctor answer2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Michael Traub
Fertility Medicine 19 years experience
Difficult: First you would want to have as much surgical removal of endometriosis as possible by a fertility specialist who does a lot of surgery. Then you would want to go on Lupron (leuprolide) with add back therapy to suppress the endo as much as possible. Only in a last resort would you want to remove the intestine.

Endo pain: Endometriosis related pain could be secondary to proinflammatory substances in the peritoneum. This substances irritate the nerve endings in the pelvic organs. Could be due fibrosis around tissues that then have decrease in blood flow causing pain.

Does taking black walnut really work against intestinal parasites?

1 doctor answer2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Douglas McNeill
Family Medicine 49 years experience
Unlikely: Before picking a treatment, you need a firm diagnosis. There are many good treatments for intestinal parasites but they differ depending on the specific parasite. I do not believe you will derive any benefit from black walnut for general 'parasites'. Be careful whom you trust with your cash, especially when health claims are made.

RE ASAP: See a reproductive endocrinologist as soon as you can: all else notwithstanding, if you are 42 years old you don't have time to waste. See a specialist; you may not need aggressive treatment but you can't afford the luxury of trial and error that younger women often have. Best of luck!

In last week been having diarrhea which started semi solid, then light blue/green color to pure liquid yellow/green! my bowels r inflamed 2 and pain!?

See a doctor: This is not normal and needs a rapid diagnosis, and treatment based on the diagnosis. You have an inflammatory condition of the colon and this could be infectious or inflammatory bowel disease or other. Do not wait. See somebody asap, and hope you are better soon.
