Depends: If you're tolerant to pain medication, you can work your way up to astronomical doses. But if you're naive and you take a lot at one time you may stop breathing, especially if you have sleep apnea.

Depends on: Depends on the type of medication and whether the patient has built an addictive tolerance to these poisons. Rather than taking more pain med , find out what is causing the pain and get that rectified. There are no cures unless the cause is removed.
