A member asked:

Is there any pain involved in a positron emission tomography scan?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IV "stick": This is painless though you may feel the pain of an IV as it si stuck into you during the test. The dye is not typically allergic and no pain is involved. Some patients feel claustrophobic.
