Get checked: Swelling in the legs and ankles can be caused by multiple things such as diet, blood pressure, kidney function, circulation, nerves, injury, previous surgery...Basically many things. You need to see your primary doctor and jot down more info about when do you notice the swelling, does it every go down, when does it hurt, what is your diet, etc. Get checked.

Leg swelling.: Many things from simple dietary indiscretions, such as an excess of salt, to medical conditions including congestive heart failure, blood clot, kidney insufficiency or liver insufficiency, can cause the legs to swell. Could also be related to arthritis, gout, plantar fasciitis or even medications (calcium channel blockers or NSAIDs like Naproxen). Work-up is necessary.
