Red Eye: Eye inflammation can come from many causes: infection, allergy, irritation, physical rubbing, exposure to chemicals in the air like chlorine from a pool, contact solution and the list goes on. You need to see what else is going on. Like itching think allergy, yellow discharge think infection, red only on the exposed part of your eye think irritant or allergy. See a doc to evaluate these.
