It is not always: A low blood pressure in many cases is not a problem. If it is low for some bad reason such as bleeding or deyhdration, the blood supply to vital organs such as the brain, kidneys, and heart is diminished. Those organs then cannot function normally because of the lack of oxygen and symptoms and damage to the organs results. (like passing out or having a heart attack).
