Intense Pulsed Light: Ipl uses a a very bright light applied to the skin which heats up the hair follicle. This causes damage to the follicle so it will no longer produce hair. The process is fairly painless and works well in fair skinned patients. It cannot be used in darker patients (such as mediterranean or darker skin types).
