Yes: Tums are basically calcium carbonate. You can take up to 2-3 tablets a day.

Not best choice: Tums (calcium carbonate) are technically safe but i would not take because they contain corn starch which is probably genetically modified and thus contains bt toxin. I'd avoid peppermint, which increases reflux, and the fruit ones contain artificial colors and flavors. Should be fine: If you are having severe symptoms of gastric indigestion it would be advisable to discuss this with your obstetrician. You may want to be on medication somewhat stronger than topical tums, (calcium carbonate) and you should also be checked for helicobacter infection. Have a great baby.
