Off pill makes baby: The pill will be out of your system in 1 menstrual cycle. Birth control pills are immediately reversible. Miss a pill, then you ovulate the next month. A cycle can vary from 21 to 45 days - it's not always monthly. You should ovulate on about day #14 using the first day of your period as day #1. Other forms of birth control, like the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot, may take months to return you to ovulation.
