A member asked:

Been ttc for 6 months. considering using progesterone cream after ovulation. seem to have a normal l phase length but maybe will help? viable option?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Luteal defect: Progesterone will not help unless you have LPD (luteal phase defect), and can only be diagnosed by an endometrial biopsy and serial Progesterone in the luteal phase. The literature questions the validity of this diagnosis, nevertheless after making the diagnosis I've helped many couples conceive by using vaginal progesterone.
