Lump likely gland: Many of the lymph nodes around the body will swell if they notice irritation or infection near their position. There are many located in the soft tissues of the head and neck.They are pea sized at rest and enlarge when they are stimulated. Most stay larger for a few weeks before shrinking back to resting size.
