Yes: Banding is a good first step. A small, thin rubber band is placed on the dilated vein (hemorrhoid) and the vein dies off and drys up. This works fo many people. But if you continue to have problems you will need to have them excised (cut out). Try banding 1st-- a surgeon, colorectal surgeon or even some GI specialists will do that for you. Good luck.
