Endocrine effects: Thyroid hormone helps us with metabolism. If your thyroid hormone is low, your body is unable to manage the lipids appropriately and this leads to high cholesterol of the 'bad types' (triglycerides, low density lipids and very low density lipids) and lowering the good cholesterol (high density lipid). Our bodies need to be firing on all cylinders!
