Food allergy: Food allergy can be involved in worsening atopic dermatitis or eczema; especially in children (probably about 1/3rd of cases). Some food allergies are caused by allergic antibody (ige) that can be detected by blood work, in other cases if is presumably caused by blood cells that have become reactive to foods (no reliable testing is felt to exist for this type of allergy). Dietary diary might help.
