Complex carbohydrate: Try eating a small portion of a complex carbohydrate, (like brown rice, an apple, nuts, lentils, sweet potato) about thirty minutes before exercising. This will allow your blood sugar to remain more stable during exercise. Cut back on your level of exertion while exercising and build up slowly.
