Specializes in surgery

Depends: Generally three major coronary vessels, but sometimes one more prominent , critical than another. Diameter reduction of > 50% relates to 75-80% luminal (phenobarbital) narrowing. This is flow reducing and can be symptomatic if no other collateral pathways developed. So we review the entire angiogram and stenosis and occlusion and heart muscle function and make a plant to share with the patient.

50% or greater: Blockage of 50% or more in an artery in the presence of symptoms or evidence of lack of adequate blood flow is necessary before recommending bypass surgery.
