HOCM: We do not recommend competitive sports in patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. You should discuss your status along with do's and don't s with your cardiologist.

Yes: Check with your doctor, but most people with hoc should not participate in strenuous exercise; it can result in sudden death.
